Bingham Canyon 's Invisible Past
This presentation explores the development of Bingham Canyon mining with exciting historic photos of the towns that were abandoned as the open-pit mine expanded. The origins of open-pit mining and growth of Kennecott Copper are also discussed.
The Kearns (Utah Governor’s) Mansion
This presentation introduces students to the history of the mansion and the live of the families who lived there. The program can stand by itself or help prepare students for a tour of the mansion.

Slide Presentation Availability
Utah Heritage Foundation slide presentations are available year-round, Monday through Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please schedule your presentation at least three weeks in advance. All the presentations can be adapted for 4th–12th grade audiences and last from 30–45 minutes. We recommend the programs be presented to groups of no more than 35 students.
